We go,
“I don’t have time to get started
So I won’t do anything at all”
But if someone offered us
A dollar
Or two
Or five
Even though it wouldn’t buy much
We grab hold of it like we will surely die,
Crumpled by a vending machine.
So, too,
Take the seconds
And even if you can’t write a book
Today
Put down a sentence
For tomorrow.
